2016 Honda Accord: Still a Winner
October 28 2015,
There’s no denying the Honda Accord’s popularity on our roads. For decades its been bringing home accolades and for very good reason. The Accord is a fantastic sedan/coupe that offers a great drive and a plenty of features and comfort at an affordable price.
Stunning Outside and In
Redesigned a few years ago, the “new” look is still as eye-catching as it was then. The 2016 Honda Accord is definitely a real looker. The front end is immediately recognizable, and the 2016 Honda Accord makes a serious statement on the road. Whether in sedan or coupe guise, the Accord offers available LED headlights along with 18” wheels. Features such as those bring the Accord squarely into the modern world, and keep it there.
Modernism and attractiveness continue inside the ’16 Accord, too. Comfort is topnotch, regardless of where you choose to sit. There’s available dual-zone climate control, and of course Honda’s signature screens will keep you informed with entertainment, navigation, and climate information at all times. There’s also an available 7-speaker premium audio system available, along with satellite radio, USB plug and Bluetooth.
Honda Understands Canadian Winters Best
Canadians know winter can be harsh, but so does Honda, which is why they outfitted the 2016 Honda Accord with available front and rear heated seats. That’s right, everyone gets a hot bum in this comfortable sedan!
All amenities and design aside, we all know the main selling point for any Honda is the drive. There are two engines available in the 2016 Honda Accord: a 2.4L i-VTEC 4-cylinder that produces 185 horsepower (189 in the Sport model) and 181 lb-ft of torque (182 lb-ft in the Sport); and a 3.5L i-VTEC V6 that pushes out 278 horsepower and 252 lb-ft of torque.
Life is all about variety and choices, so it’s only natural that Honda would also offer up three transmission choices (dependent on engine choice): a 6-speed manual, a 6-speed automatic or a CVT. The 2016 Accord also features Honda’s Drive-by-Wire throttle system, and there are steering-wheel mounted paddle shifters available on the Sport model, but only with the CVT selected. Power is sent to the front wheels at all times.
The 2016 Honda Accord has lots to offer for not a lot of coin. It is an absolute pleasure to drive and also features tons of interior amenities and space for all passengers and gear. The 2016 Accord is sure to impress even the most discerning buyer.
