2016 Honda Fit: Fit All the Things!

Over the years, we’ve all come to expect small, compact cars with serious attitude to come from the likes of Honda. Well, the new 2016 Honda Fit really does fit that attitude-filled, dynamic, fun-to-drive bill. Redesigned from the outside in for 2015, the Fit is sure to please even the most needy buyer with a bevy of amenities and that renowned Honda drivability we all know and love.

The Perfect Compact Car for All of Your Automotive Needs

The 2016 Honda Fit’s brand new exterior look sets it apart in the best way possible. It was always a bit of an oddball in the segment, and this new exterior look once again makes it stand out, but for a good reason. A brand new front fascia and rear display with sporty, modern lines and a youthful appearance that’s sure to appeal to a number of buyers in the market for a hatchback that has serious presence and attitude on the road.

The 2016 Honda Fit is available with options such as 15” or 16” alloy wheels, body-coloured roof spoiler, and fog lights. Your Honda Fit can be as unique as you with colours such as Milano Red, Mystic Yellow Pearl, and Aegean Blue Metallic.

The new look of the 2016 Honda Fit isn’t the only interesting part about this cool little hatchback. Take a look under the sculpted hood and you’ll find Honda’s marvelous 1.5L 16-valve i-VTEC 4-cylinder mill that produces 130 horsepower and 114 lb-ft of torque. Regardless of the 2016 Honda Fit sporting the same engine as the outgoing model, they somehow managed 15 more horses (and torques!) out of the same mill.

All 2016 Honda Fit models available (DX, LX, EX, and EX-L Navi) are equipped with a 6-speed manual transmission as standard, however, there is an available CVT, as well as paddle shifters (only in the top two trims). The automaker’s much loved Drive-by-Wire throttle system is also available across the lineup.

An Impressive and Affordable Base

While the 2016 Honda Fit is an affordable, entry-level vehicle in the Honda lineup, that doesn’t mean it can’t feature higher-end amenities such as HondaLink Navigation and voice recognition, HDMI input, Siri Eyes Free compatability, HD Radio, and even Honda’s LaneWatch blind spot display, a multi-angle rearview camera, and proximity key entry system, as well as Bluetooth for audio streaming and phone calls. The 2016 Fit truly is an immense car beyond its physical size in terms of features and amenities.

Don’t worry, the Honda Fit’s Magic Seats made it into the 2016 model, as well! Truthfully, it’s just sprinkles on the top of an already icing-loaded and layered cake when you look at the 2016 Honda Fit as a whole. And all of this is available in a car that starts at just a smidge over $14,000, so really what’s not to love?
